Residential Property Legal Secretary (Full Time, Loughton Office)

Summary of Role
We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Residential Property Team. The role is based at our Loughton office, on a full-time basis.

The Role
To assist and support in delivering an excellent service to our clients. You will be working within a supportive and engaged team. We are looking for someone who has previous experience and a good competency standards with the conveyancing process.

The Person
A team player who has ideally worked as a Legal Secretary for at least 2 year, has strong IT and communication skills, together with a strong typing speed and able to undertake audio-dictation.

Commercial Property Solicitor (Full Time, Epping Office)

Summary of Role
We are looking for an experienced Solicitor to join our busy Commercial Property Team. The role is based at our Epping office, on a full-time basis.

The Role
Our Commercial Property Team advise on all aspects of Commercial Property transactions including the Grant and Renewal of Commercial Leases, the Purchase and Sale of Investment Properties and Commercial and Residential Development Property subject to Occupational Leases and Commercial Landlord and Tenant Development work as well as the management of Commercial Property. We advise Tenants and Landlords and have experience in Commercial Lending.

The Role
Our Company & Commercial Team advise on all aspects of Business and Company Sales and Purchases, Management Buy-outs, Demergers, Shareholder Agreements, Partnerships and LLPs, Re-organising and Re-structuring, Banking, Re-finance and Company Incorporation and general corporation governance.

Wills, Trusts & Probate – Tax & Trusts Advisor

Summary of Role
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Tax & Trust
Administration, with an understanding of the fundamental principles of inheritance tax,
capital gains tax and income tax in relation to Discretionary, Life Interest, and Bare Trusts
(ATT, CTA, or TEP qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory).

Responsibilities
• To undertake trust administration and related tax filing
• To complete Personal and Trust Tax Returns
• SA900 Tax Returns preparation and submission for Estate Administration periods
• IHT100 preparation and submissions when necessary
• To draft basic Trust documents including Resolutions, Minutes and Deeds of
Appointment
• Navigating HMRC’s Trust Registration Service as needed
• Preparing and maintaining annual Trust Accounts
• General administration including liaising with Brokers, Accountants, Beneficiaries,
Trustees and Financial Advisers
• To provide ad hoc tax computations e.g. CGT, IHT, Income Tax.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Enthusiasm, a strong team-player mentality, and a willingness to contribute actively
• Eagerness to develop and expand skills and knowledge, undertaking additional
training as required
• A balanced combination of technical proficiency and commercial awareness
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• IT proficiency to effectively carry out responsibilities.
