Foskett Marr Gadsby & Head LLP awarded Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS) accreditation by the Law Society

Foskett Marr Gadsby & Head LLP is proud to announce that it is a member of the Law Society’s WIQS accreditation scheme, the first recognised quality standard for wills and estate administration in England and Wales.

WIQS provides a best practice quality mark setting client service standards to ensure transparency in process, costs and communications. It outlines required practices for will drafting, probate and estate administration to help address common risks, errors and inconsistencies that arise in delivering advice.

To achieve this specialist accreditation Foskett Marr Gadsby & Head LLP went through a rigorous application and assessment process which recognises our experience, expertise and high level of client care.

Former Law Society President Nicholas Fluck said “The WIQS scheme offers greater consumer protection from poorly drafted Wills. Preparing a Will is one of the biggest and most important decisions a person can make. If it isn’t done properly, the consequences can be dire. Thousands of people die every year without making a Will or without a properly drafted Will.”

“Only a solicitor is qualified to make a Will which maximises tax saving or planning in estates, as this requires a considerable knowledge of the law. Too many people have fallen foul of unregulated Will writers and it is usually their loved ones left to sort out the mess in the aftermath. Using a WIQS approved firm provides an additional level of reassurance to consumers that their affairs are in safe hands.”

Unfortunately we see many clients who have been badly let down by unregulated and unqualified will writing companies but you can be confident when instructing Foskett Marr Gadsby & Head LLP that we have the stamp of approval from the Law Society.
