Foskett Marr Gadsby & Head LLP is proud to support Senior Partner John Worby, as he embarks on the challenging Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 2015.
The race involves an incredible 40,000 nautical mile journey around the world on a 70-foot ocean racing yacht, starting from London, crossing the Atlantic to Brazil, then to South Africa, moving onto Australia and the Pacific and finally to the USA before sailing homeward. The whole journey takes roughly 11 months to complete.
John joins the third leg of the race at South Africa which kicked off on Saturday 31 October from Cape Town. He currently sails with theGarmin crew with the team making excellent progress despite confronting strong frosty southern winds coming straight up from the ice of Antarctica. The severe conditions in this part of the world makes this leg one of the most difficult in the race and Foskett Marr wish John and his fellow crew members the best of luck as they cross the Southern Ocean and make their way to Albany, Western Australia.
You can follow the race onhttp://clipperroundtheworld.com/team/garmin/news. Foskett Marr will also be updating this blog regularly as we eagerly watch the Garmin’s progress and wait to hear of its safe arrival at Albany.
