Foskett Marr Gadsby & Head LLP are proud to announce that Wills & Probate Solicitor Phillip Bazley will be participating in the 36 th Virgin London Marathon taking place on Sunday 24 April 2016 to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The Marathon starts at Blackheath, South East London and works its way through Woolwich, Greenwich, The Isle of Dogs, Tower of London, and London Bridge before finishing at The Mall, just past Buckingham Palace. Competitors will be covering an impressive distance of 26.2 miles which will take at least 4/5 hours to complete as well as several months of dedicated training.
Phillip is no stranger to such highly demanding challenges having previously ran in marathons in London (2008), Paris (2009), Edinburgh (2010), Wales (2012), North Norfolk (2013) and Cologne, Germany (2014) as well as the incredible 100km Thames Path Challenge ultra marathon and London-Cardiff 24 relay race from Twickenham Stadium to the Millennium Stadium. However, preparation is always key and Phillip has committed to up to 7/8 hours of weekly training for the past 8 months in order to run the Marathon this weekend.
All funds raised by Phillip will be going towards Marie Curie Cancer Care, which provides much-needed nursing care and hospice support to those suffering from terminal cancer.
Everyone at Foskett Marr wish Phillip the best of luck for the Marathon on Sunday!
