It has recently been announced that Alpha Insurance A/S has been declared bankrupt.
We advise all clients to check whether they hold any insurance policies with Alpha, particularly owners of new build properties as Alpha provided the back up to some CRL Structural Insurance policies.
The FSCS have advised that customers of Alpha Insurance need to contact their insurance broker/firm who sold them the policy.
The Danish FSA have advised that all policyholders must write new insurance policies as soon as possible. CRL are working to provide replacement cover although the overall advice is to seek alternative cover.
